Breakfast - Another Place,
The Lake,
Lake District

Breakfast - Another Place, The Lake

Start the day right with an incredible breakfast! Almost all of our hotels leave a fantastic lasting impression, with hearty, home-cooked, locally sourced breakfasts. Some, however are extra special, and breakfast at "Another Place, The Lake" is just that!

Set in 18 acres on the shores of Ullswater, the views from this property are enough to ensure a stunning start to the day, but wait until you see the food! With shelves full of pastries, freshly squeezed juices, fruit, yoghurt, smoothies, organic muesli, cereals, smoked salmon, deli meats and bagels, you are spoilt for choice, and that's before chef has whipped you up an omelette or some porridge. They boast that their main event though, is waffles - made by you in their waffle irons.

Brunch - Tewkesbury Park

Brunch - Tewkesbury Park

For those who like to be late to rise, brunch is an indulgent start to a relaxing day. At Tewkesbury Park they don't ask "shall we brunch" but "where shall we brunch?", and to ensure that they are your first choice, they have designed a sumptuous Sunday Brunch menu. The benefits of Sunday brunch include: a Sunday lie-in, you can legitimately eat more (breakfast and lunch combined), it's relaxed informal dining and great for curing a hangover (up to 4 hours is acceptable), it's very social - and a great opportunity to catch up with family and friends.

No Sunday is complete without perfectly cooked eggs, fantastic coffee and catching up with friends. Be a Tewkesbury Park Sunday Bruncher - available every Sunday from the 3rd March.

Lunch - Cookery School - The Talbot

Lunch - Cookery School - The Talbot

A happy twist on the expression "sing for your supper" - rather than toiling away for hours, you'll enjoy a fun and relaxed day or night learning to cook. Dishes are prepared and eaten throughout the course with a glass of wine or two - a perfectly relaxing way to learn to cook.

The Malton Cookery School at The Talbot specialises in what's best and closest to the North Yorkshire foodie town; Game, Seafood and Baking. With the North York Moors a stones throw away, there is a plentiful supply of some of the best wild food in the UK. From Partridge to Pigeon, Venison to Hare, Wild Boar to Grouse the beautiful Yorkshire countryside produces many marvels to cook with. Malton is also passionate about baking. Yorkshire classics like Parkin and Yorkshire Curd Tart are always popular but the varied world of bakery enables them to look at French Classics and traditional techniques from the world of Patisserie and further.

Afternoon Tea - Black Swan

Afternoon Tea - Black Swan

Everyone loves an Afternoon Tea treat, and the Black Swan excels in this area. So popular was this market-town hotel for tea and cakes, that in 2007 they opened a dedicated tea room to cater to their guests' needs. Since having been officially opened by Marco Pierre White over 10 years ago, the tea room was voted the "Top Tea Place 2010" and a "Tearoom of Excellence" in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Afternoon Tea at The Black Swan Tea Room is classic, luxurious and indulgent - everything you expect a quintessential, English Afternoon Tea to be. Dainty little finger sandwiches embodying traditional fillings, freshly baked scones lathered with homemade strawberry jam and gooey clotted cream. Cakes in all their glory - delicious and oozing with pleasurable flavours, all served on the finest of bone china and accompanied by a fragrant cup of tea.

Evening Meal - Chester Grosvenor
